Landshot


Landshot (historically Landshet) is a hamlet and farm, located about 1km east of Elsdon in Northumberland. It is situated near Landshot Hill and south of Landshot Burn. There are remains of Medieval ridge and furrow cultivation and later quarrying in the area around Landshot. Whellan's 1855 directory of Northumberland lists Hannah Hall as farmer at "Land Shot" in the Elsdon Ward of Elsdon Parish.[1]
