Doctor Bridge, Eskdale
Doctor Bridge is a stone road bridge over the River Esk in Eskdale. It was originally a packhorse bridge built in the 17th century. It's name relates to the bridge being widened in 1734 for Edward Tyson, a surgeon, to take his trap. Doctor bridge is Grade II listed on the National Heritage List for England.
